The Role Maximize revenue growth within assigned Lumen”s Top 15 market area by capitalizing on existing network infrastructure, interconnected LEC central offices, and local market knowledge of viable customer segments and competitive situation.

Manage sales, installs, customer commit dates, trouble tickets, MTTR, disputes and accounts receivable via direct reports and dotted line relationships.

Responsible for costs including gross margin, opex, netex and capex.

The Main Responsibilities Essential Duties: Direct leadership of sales, sales operations, sales engineering, and sales support teams with dotted line coordination/ management of field planning and financial planning resources.

Immersion of business strategy and coordinate/prioritize efforts of both direct reports and matrix ecosystem staff including, service delivery project managers, service management, regional network planners, billing specialists, accounts receivable, technical support center and field operations.

Evaluate capital spending projects and present for approval.

Has some direct capital spending authority for success-based projects.

Capital planning, budgeting and spending within certain authority limits.

Coordinate market financial statements and capital spending tracking with finance department.

Drive network investment/maximization plans to impact assigned top market profitability for enterprise, as well as wholesale, federal and global account opportunities that have regional/local market impact.

Design go-to-market product, pricing and promotion solutions in concert with field marketing, product, pricing and network planning organizations.

Design and build a field sales force that maximizes profitable revenue growth.

Attract and retain an effective management, sales and support team to enable achievement of the market growth plan, Including the effectual use of inside sales, partner field channels and overlay teams.

Drive development, implementation and management of strategic market plans, and align direct and matrixed organization around market initiatives.

Meet customer profitability targets within the assigned top market.

Serve as the escalation point on behalf of the company to customers and the local business community.

What We Look For in a Candidate Other Job Requirements: Experience as a successful General Manager or equivalent in a telecom or technology sales environment with enterprise telecom sales and operations management experience
– including owning the customer experience in managed local market areas.

Demonstrated experience in exceeding revenue targets Assignment of one of Lumen”sTop 15 Markets with an Annual Service Revenue Target of greater than or equal to $100M Successful track record bidding and winning sales through the RFP process.

Understand and evaluate network infrastructure; challenges and opportunities.

Have the skill set and knowledge to act as an effective advocate for network improvements/changes including engagement of network planning and field operations teams, a network operating center and technical service center in order to stabilize network weak points, serve and retain customers and develop new revenue opportunities that drive profitable customer growth.

Understand network design and outside plant operations, SONET technology, switch functionality, and field operations roles and responsibilities.

Effective management of capital planning and budgeting, including netex, capex and opex.
